And here Siebren thought he'd passed 'hey, you' status with most of the people on the train. Either his data is incomplete, or Tidus is simply being Tidus. Either way, he stops and fixes Tidus with a steady, unamused gaze.

"Tidus, do you know my name?"

"Uhh- well. Sorta?" since he's getting called out, and Tidus pauses, trying to think; at least aware enough to wear a sheepish look as he motions holds out one hand, and then the other.

"Either Siebrim, or Sibbrin?" Either or? Then, he wave them both. "You just reminded me I wanted to ask you something!"

It wasn't that kind of 'you'! He swears!

He...doesn't actually know. One more data point filled in, at the least.

(Some part of Siebren is simply grateful that Tidus hadn't insisted his name was gramps.)

"It's Siebren," he says levelly after a suitable pause. "What did you want to ask?"

"Siebren!" he echoes quick, before finally getting to his business. "I remembered you were pretty good with fixing things up back on Nion, right? I was wondering if you knew some things about rewiring and making stuff useful."

Which isn't an explanation alone, but fortunately Tidus goes on, hands waving a little as they usually do when he speaks.

"I grabbed a whole load of the bots back on Nion - mostly the sentries that were shooting at us, but a few of those smaller ones too. Just as scrap after that last battle, whatever didn't look completely broke." Not to sound like he took all the actual automatons doing their jobs elsewhere, now...!

"You know anything about machina to say if we could do anything with those gun parts they were shooting us with?" Finally he gets to the point, and his hands stop moving with it reached. "Or anyone else I can ask?"

It's rare that Siebren's capabilities are overestimated, but it seems this is one such occurrence. "I am no engineer, but if you let me know where you're keeping them, I can take a look. As for others who may know more, I would say Seto and Senku are your likeliest candidates. I can speak with them, if you would prefer." Senku could always use another project to keep him from climbing the walls, and while he's not sure Seto would welcome a project of this nature, Siebren at least knows enough about the circumstances to understand why asking might be awkward.

"If you're friendly," he says as mean of approval. "If you think they'd be interested. Seto anyway... and I know Gen was trying to get Senku to do more relaxing than more projects."

Which had been the reason he hadn't brought up the idea directly to Senku. But even with that thought, Tidus admits with a light chuckle, "Well, not that I know what he's been doing with the ones I already gave him. But there's a bunch more in luggage, towards the back. I stuck them in a crate in there."

He lets that first comment pass - far too many directions it could go if he tried to chase it down. "I am beginning to think Senku does not know how to relax, and I would rather have his energies directed towards a focused project rather than yet another situation that could prove dangerous, especially now that he has no tether." Siebren hasn't seen Senku yet today; he does not yet know about Senku's shiny new SCA.

More in the luggage car, then. He nods. "Thank you. Once we have secured a work space, we can begin. Is there anyone in particular we should report our findings to?"

The comment on Senku is more confusing to Tidus than telling, or the worry that Siebren has for the guy - what's he going to get up to on the train...? But it's not what Tidus focuses on, with the question actually directed at him. And in such a...business, formal way too!

"Uh- me?" he offers with a raise of his hands, a shrug of his shoulders. "It was just something I was thinkin' back when were collecting them. But if you want to get more hands on board and ideas flowing... talking to the whole train wouldn't hurt. See if we do have any engineers." Right?
